We petition the EMID school board to:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Allow Crosswinds to remain open under Perpich leadership beginning in the 2013-2014 school year.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>269 signatures were collected.<\/p>\n<p>151 identified their affiliation: 47% parents, 39% friends, 9% students, 5% staff.<\/p>\n<p>46 told us their plans for staying with Crosswinds under Perpich: <strong>87% yes<\/strong>, 13% no.<\/p>\n<p>56 \u201cplan B\u201d alternatives were shared with us, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8: AFSA<\/li>\n<li>6: Open World Learning<\/li>\n<li>4: Creative Arts High School<\/li>\n<li>4: SPCPA<\/li>\n<li>3: Avalon<\/li>\n<li>3: Great River<\/li>\n<li>3: Johnson<\/li>\n<li>3: South St Paul High School<\/li>\n<li>2: MN Virtual Academy<\/li>\n<li>2: South St Paul High School<\/li>\n<li>2: Woodbury High School<\/li>\n<li>(the rest were only one each)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The full results, including all signatures and comments, are available in this <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.clst.org\/emidfamilies\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2013\/07\/2013-petition-report.pdf\">2013 EMID Families Petition Report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This petition and survey was available in <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1wCHZi950H-9chfmB-T-pwnqr0WD1B82tJjVsfDVtnSo\/viewform\">English<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1euH5PyL3DKE5wtXMdfYdzHL-M0JwzBMDVYxeocFvDCg\/viewform\">Spanish<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Loading&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During 10 June and 6 July 2013 we collected signatures on a petition that read: The East Metro Integration District (EMID) is considering a management agreement with the Perpich Center for Arts Education to allow the Crosswinds Arts &amp; Science School to stay open for the next school year.
