The <a href=\"http:\/\/education.state.mn.us\/MDE\/Welcome\/AdvBCT\/IntegRevReplaceTaskForce\/index.html\">official website is at the Minnesota Department of Education<\/a> and you should go there for the official story. This page is being maintained by one EMID parent. I am trying to attend each task force meeting and share notes with other EMID parents. It was passed along to the Minnesota Legislature on 15 February 2012. This is by no means an exhaustive list, feel free to <a href=\"mailto:efc@clst.org?subject=IRRATF%20Resource%20Suggestion\">suggest additions<\/a>!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=re05eFdrKTcC\">Courageous conversations about race: a field guide for achieving equity in schools<\/a><\/em>, by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacificeducationalgroup.com\/pages\/glenn-singleton\">Glenn Singleton<\/a>. Task force member Katherine Kersten keeps demonizing this book to the task force, bringing it up in at least three meetings. This makes me think it must be worth a read.<\/li>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=kxH3tgAACAAJ\">Assault on kids: how hyper-accountability, corporatization, deficit ideologies, and Ruby Payne are destroying our schools<\/a><\/em>, by Roberta Ahlquist, Paul Gorski, Theresa Monta\u00f1o. EMID parent Mary Hess particularly recommends the chapter on the achievement gap.<\/li>\n<li>Another integration task force, the <a href=\"http:\/\/integrationtaskforce.blogspot.com\/\">Minnesota School Integration Council<\/a>, met last year and their recommendations, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.clst.org\/emidfamilies\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2012\/01\/Task-Force-Report-and-Recommendations_final.pdf\">Every Child, Every Day<\/a><\/em>, may also be of interest. Note, the president of this earlier effort was EMID&#8217;s own Kathy Griebel and the president-elect was Scott Thomas, a co-chair of the current task force.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/theintegrationreport.wordpress.com\/\">The Integration Report<\/a>, a monthly update on the status of integration in our nation&#8217;s schools.<\/li>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mnp20.org\/working_groups\/documents\/December152011WorkingGroupReport-STEMAchievementGapFinal3Report.pdf\">2011 MN STEM Achievement Gap Strategic Plan PDF<\/a><\/em>, by the <a href=\"http:\/\/theintegrationreport.wordpress.com\/\">MN P-20 Education Partnership<\/a>.
