Dagmar has been discharged from the hospital to the New Albany Rehabilitation Facility. Busy day!

Taking a look at the website after lunch.

Today we are moving to the New Albany Rehabilitation Center. The move should take place some time this afternoon.

Dagmar walked to the red line in the hall today. This after going to the bathroom, sitting for lunch with me, and more. She is still in quite a bit of pain, but all-in-all the improvement over yesterday is evident.

“Let’s get that knee moving,” was the verdict of the surgeon who visited Dagmar this morning. Dr. Morris made rounds for Dr. Berend, and he could not answer most of Dagmar’s questions since he had not been her surgeon. He promised to pass the list of questions along and get answers for her.

Is anyone surprised that this is how Dagmar falls asleep? Reminds me so much of Oma.

Dagmar and I ate dinner together. She is now sitting up at a table for meals.

Dagmar has seen Pat, Dick, Collette (the hospital chaplain) and talked to Andy, Inta, Gabriella, Theresa, Stephen (!), Natalie, and Noelle on the phone. Feel free to call 614-775-6820 if you want to try to catch her.

Dagmar took her first walk beyond the bathroom with her physical therapist this morning.

Dr. Berend, Dagmar’s surgeon, stopped by for about sixty seconds of her breakfast. We learned that Dagmar will stay at the hospital for two more nights and move to the rehab center on Thursday.
